Frequently Asked Questions 


Q1. The tracking unit is not updating.

A1. If the vehicle is definitely in use and the unit sent a health check during the night, right click on the vehicle in list view, select functions and then select poll. If the tracking unit does not respond in the next 5 minutes then it may be in an area that is out of GSM coverage. If the unit does not respond in the next 24 hours then please call the Ctrack Customer Care Team.

Q2. The tracking unit is not updating and has not sent a health check.

A2. If the tracking unit has not sent a health check for more than 24 hours, right click on the vehicle in list view, select functions and then select poll. If the tracking unit does not respond in the next 5 minutes then it may be in an area that is out of GSM coverage. If the unit does not respond in the next 24 hours then please call the Ctrack Customer Care Team.

Q3. My tracking unit is showing a status of ‘Battery Tamper’.

A3. This status is shown when the main power supply to the unit has been ‘disconnected’. For example, if the vehicle battery has run flat or has had its battery disconnected for a service or for repair work. If you know that this is not the case and that the vehicle is operational, please call the Ctrack Customer Care Team for further support.
