Ctrack secures KLM Equipment Services tracking deal
Ctrack has been appointed by KLM Equipment Services (KES) to implement an advanced tracking solution for vehicles, operating equipment and machinery used for the handling of aircraft on the ground at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
This will enable the company to monitor usage by customer as well as capture essential data for effective maintenance and servicing.
The contract was awarded following a competitive tender process initially involving nine suppliers, with Ctrack selected based its advanced technology offering, the user convenience of the proposed system and the ongoing support offered.
Under the agreement, Ctrack will develop a system of personalised access cards that will provide an effective means of monitoring which employee of any airline is using equipment, which will help automate the billing process. Meanwhile, KES will also have complete visibility of all assets located at the airport via both a desktop user portal and an app suitable for either smartphones or tablets.
