Ctrack employees make marathon debut to raise £2,000 for charity

Elliott Kirk and Michael Ingram, based at Ctrack’s office in Leeds, will be making their London Marathon debuts Sunday, 13th April 2014 for charity. They will be joining the thousands of runners that are set to tackle the 26.2 mile course and hope to raise more than £2,000 of donations for Get Kids Going!, an organisation that helps disabled children take part in sporting activities.

Ctrack London Marathon 2014

Get Kids Going! is committed to supporting participation in sport by providing specialist equipment, financial grants and ongoing assistance. This is enabling disabled children to compete in a wide range of sports such as marathons, triathlons, tennis, athletics, skiing, rugby and basketball, and with this help, they could become Paralympic champions and world record holders of the future.

Speaking about the forthcoming marathon Elliot Kirk said: “Both myself Michael are relatively new parents, with three children under the age of four between us, and we are lucky enough to have children free of any disability. However, we are aware that some are not so fortunate and it is our goal to complete this gruelling challenge to be able to give something back and help others.”

Elliot and Michael will be carrying a Ctrack ICE2 Lone Worker protection unit and people tracking unit during the marathon. The portable devices will enable friends, family, colleagues and other supporters to gain live updates of their progress on the day via the Ctrack website with real-time positions along the route.
